| Abstract: | This paper mainly discusses the formation of Bendihua in the middle and upper reaches of Dongjiang.Through investigating the historic background and linguistic features, we find that the immigration from Jiangxi in the Song Dynasty played a key role to the formation and developmation of Bendihua. Additionally, the influence from surrounding dialects is of great importance to it. |
