| Abstract: | The long prose A Plain of One Person takes the form of rural literature to narrate the stories of people living on the plain. From the writing about the ups and downs of the authors own family who live by the Lixia River, the work is rather a panoramic account of the contemporary Chinese society and a penetration into the binary relationship between urban and rural areas of China. |
