| 摘 要： | 地理信息系统技术(GIS)是在计算机网络技术支持下的一种空间信息处理技术,它为未来城镇形态变化预测研究提供了信息获取、存储、分析、处理和决策的先进技术手段.本文通过对地理信息系统功能及其在未来城镇形态变化预测中的应用的介绍,具体介绍城镇地理信息库的建立,并应用相关城镇发展理论预测城镇未来发展形态,指出地理信息系统技术是预测未来城镇形态变化的有力工具,为城镇规划起到指导和决策的作用.
