Abstract:Interlanguage is a halfway linguistic product by non-native speakers. It is a wrong or makeup linguistic device in accomplishing learning or productive tasks. To understand its origin, formation process and characteristics is significant for both learners and teachers. The author puts forward his insights into this linguistic phenomenon with reference to classic works of linguistics.
