| Abstract: | The name of a university is not only the symbol of a school, but the embodiment of the idea of the university. It plays a significant role in the development of the university. This article makes a comparative study on the names of universities, by rethinking about the recent name-changing phenomena of some Chinese universities. The thesis also analyses the possible reasons for changing school names and at last puts forward some pieces of suggestions. |
