| 摘 要： | 美国西部开发最重要的经验在于 :联邦政府和地方政府恰当的角色定位为大开发创造出良好的环境 ;贯穿始终的道德建设与社会改革推动西部社会民主的发展 ;移民的拓荒精神则创造了西部迅速持久的繁荣。但另一方面 ,大开发过程中城市建设、民族政策及生态建设的缺陷给后世留下深刻的历史反思。美国西部开发的得与失说明 :要真正搞好大开发 ,走上一条理性、持续的现代化发展之路 ,就必须实现包括人自身在内的整体发展

| Abstract: | The most important lessons of the U.S. Western development were that the federal and local governments provided good environment;ethical improvement and social reforms contributed to the great progress of western social democracy and the pioneers' spirit made the west rapidly prosperous; however, the various faults in city construction,racial policy and environmental protection left us deep reflection. The U.S. western development proved that all round development including man himself must be accomplished in order to succeed in development and make modernization rational and continuable. |
