| 摘 要： | 亚·德·霍普是20世纪英文诗坛为数不多的在讽刺诗创作方面取得成就的重要诗人之一。他重视诗歌的社会功用,主张复兴讽刺诗的创作,并身体力行,创作了数量不菲的讽刺诗。霍普的讽刺诗按照其主题大致可分成两类,一类具有评论时事性质,其锋芒指向人生百态及社会生活的方方面面;另一类则呈现出＂以诗论诗＂的特征,表达了诗人对诗歌艺术本身的关注和思考。尽管霍普的讽刺诗创作也有缺陷,但瑕不掩瑜,总体而言,他的讽刺诗可以说是充分地体现了这类古老的诗歌体裁包容性广、灵活多变的特点。

| Abstract: | A.D.Hope is one of the very few poets who made significant achievements in English satirical poetry in the 20th century.The paper attempts to explore the reasons why he is committed to satirical poetry and the thematic concerns and artistic features of his satirical poems.Thematically speaking,Hope＇s satirical poetry falls roughly into two types： one is concerned with the contemporary affairs,touching upon almost every aspect of human life,and the other with the art of poetry itself.Although there are flaws with his satirical poems,on the whole,they exhibit the peculiar poetic strengths of this old genre,namely,its flexibility and inclusiveness. |
