| 摘 要： | 工科院校如果只强调科学知识教育而忽视文学教育会导致学生的情感缺失与人文素养缺失。英美文学作品全面深入地体现了西方先进的人文主义思想,对于工科院校学生开阔学术视野,树立健全的人格、世界观与价值观,培养积极进取的创新意识,从整体上提高个人素质都发挥着极其重要的作用。

| Abstract: | In engineering and polytechnic universities,the excessive emphasis on science education and the marginalization of literature education will lead to athymia and the absence of humanities among students.English and American literature,which fully represents the western humanistic ideals,could be taught in class to broaden students' academic vision,foster their integrated personality,correct worldview and values,to form their creativity and to upgrade their qualities. |
