| 摘 要： | 借代和借喻是英汉语中两种重要的修辞格，由于二均涉及词义的转化，因此两种辞格容易混淆。本指出了借代和借喻是两个不同的概念，阐述了借代和借喻的不同类型，在此基础上，本从两所构成的客观基础，两中本体和借体，喻体的关系，两的转换方法和表达效果四个方面分析了两的不同之处。

A Rhetorical Comparison of Metonymy and Metaphor in Chinese and English |

| Abstract: | Metonymy and metaphor are two important rhetorical devices both in English and Chinese. Because both metonymy and metaphor involve the meaning conversion of words, it is not easy to differentiate them. This article points out that metonymy and metaphor are two different definitions, and explicates the different types of metonymy and metaphor. On this basis, the article analyses the differences between these two rhetorical devices from the objective foundation of their components, the relation between the tenor and the vehicle/substitute in them, their conversing methods and their expressive effects. |
