| 摘 要： | 大学是一个传授普遍知识的地方,大学的主要职能是教学,大学为传授知识而设,这是纽曼《大学的理想》的中心思想.从《大学的理想》有关教学目标--传播和推广知识与培育理智、教学内容--整合的知识、教学方法--激发学习动机以及教学组织--让学生合作学习的论述中,阐述了纽曼的大学教学思想,并据此反思了现代大学教学.
