摘    要:本文以原型范畴理论,隐喻认知机制为支点,探讨英语介词语义延伸的心理认知过程.我们发现介词语义是以"空间"原型为认知参照点,以家族相似性不断向外扩展延伸;隐喻认知机制使空间介词具有很大的语义生成力.本文提出在英语介词教学过程中,注意介词基本空间意义的学习;更要重视转喻和隐喻的认知,从而提高学生的学习兴趣和教学质量.

Abstract:Based on the prototype theory and metaphoric cognitive mechanism,the paper probes the psychological cognitive process of semantic extension of prepositions.Semantic meaning of prepositions gradually extends on the cognitive reference point of "space" prototype and by way of family resemblance.Metaphoric cognitive mechanism makes prepositions have largely productive forces in semantic meanings.This paper puts forward that it is necessary to emphasize the basic spatial meaning of English prepositions and recognize the metonymies and metaphors so as to enhance students' interest in learning and improve the quality of education with the process of the teaching English prepositions.
