| 摘 要： | 对于超额翻译和欠额翻译的研究，集中于从文本对比的角度出发，从语言和文化的差异中寻找原因，并在语言操作的层面上进行规避，但是对“超额”和“欠额”的判定缺乏客观的标准；对“欠额”和“超额”的多样化缺乏解释力；所提出的规避策略收效甚微。本文指出：超额翻译和欠额翻译在翻译过程中产生，由译者的心理活动决定，而翻译过程和译者的心理活动是认知的，因此需要从认知的角度对其进行研究。
