| 摘 要： | 谎言作为一种与真理相悖的语言现象普遍存在。本文尝试利用Verschueren的顺应性理论，从语用学的角度诠释说谎现象。说谎策略和其他语言现象一样，是一个不断进行选择的过程，说谎过程涉及认知、社会，文化等诸多因素，选择说谎策略的目的是为了顺应言语交际的三个层面：物理世界、社交世界和交际双方的心理世界。

| Abstract: | Lying coexists side by side with truth and it permeates every aspect of human activities. The paper examines lying from a pragmatic perspective by applying Verschueren＇s adaptation theory. As is pointed out, lying is the result of choice-making in communication. As far as the purpose of the lying selection is concerned, lying adapts with the three contextual correlates： physical world, the social world and the mental world of the interlocutors. |
