| 摘 要： | 长期以来,国内外英语习语的研究都遵循着习语的固定性特征来进行。然而,习语在结构和功能上都存在着转换的能力。文章从变异的途径、变异的理据和变异效果等方面对英语习语的变异现象进行了探讨。指出变异的形式主要有两种,即变形不变义和变形又变义,揭示了变异的理据主要是语法理据和语义理据并对变异的语用效果进行了探讨。*

| Abstract: | For a long time the study of English idioms both at home and abroad have observed the main feature of fixity. Yet, English idioms are syntactically and functionally transformational. This paper analyzes the different ways of variations of idioms and illustrates their motivations with a view to arousing sufficient attention to the study of English idioms in China. |
