| Abstract: | Water gap garden is an important element for the layout of ancient Huizhou villages. It is usually located at the entrance to the enclosed or semi-enclosed villages. Mostly, water gap is situated between two mountain ridges. Hui people have been attaching great importance to the construction of water gap. Special water gap gardens have been built up and they present their special architectural characteristics. |
