| Abstract: | the sentences of the active voice and the passive voice in English represent the same happenings but they have different meanings and occasions when used.We analyze their differences on the theme-rheme theory and the transitivity process theory bases and discuss their different meanings on different occasions and their correlation to the discourse cohesion and the discourse types. |
