当代美国核心知识课程述析

摘    要:20世纪90年代以来,美国教育家希尔斯等人倡导从幼儿园至小学8年级推行核心知识课程,试图达成学术技能和规定的学科内容知识之间的平衡,知识广度与深度之间的平衡,教育的优异与公正,并以此来解决进步主义教育带给美国基础教育学业成绩低下和教育不公正等问题。

Abstract:Since the 1990s,the American educationist,E. D. Hirsch has been proposing to implement the core knowledge curriculum from kindergarten to the eighth grade,aiming at realizing the balance of learning ability and stated subject matter knowledge,the balance of the extent of knowledge and the deepness of knowledge,and the balance of excellence of education and equity of education. It also aims at solving the issue of the lowlihead of school work results and inequity of education which progressive education has brought for American basic education.
