| 摘 要： | 清初,因统治者的开明,天主教在中国各大城市的传播比较顺利,呈现良好的发展态势。后因罗马教会与中国的礼仪之争导致清廷推行禁教政策,这使得天主教在华的城市传播事业遭遇了重大挫折,不得不转向官府控制薄弱的乡村发展。

| Abstract: | In early Qing dynasty,Catholicism widely spread in many big cities of China and presented the swift and violent development situation because of rulers' liberality and toleration.But after Chinese Rites Controversy between Roman Catholic Church and the royal court of Qing Dynasty,Catholicism was forbidden by the China government.As a result,its spread in Chinese cites suffered a major setback and had to turn to rural areas with weak control of the government. |
