Abstract:This article describes and comments on the characteristics of American teacher educators in career and technical education,including the profile of American vocational technical teacher educators,professional development models and teaching approaches teacher educators prefer,expertise of teacher educators,and teacher educators' own professional development activities.The author expects the readers to connect the general characteristics and quality of teacher educators in career and technical education with American vocational teacher preparing and training,hoping to provide a reference for the research,reformation and development of vocational teacher preparing and training in our country.
