| 摘 要： | 文章介绍了美国物理核心期刊《物理评论》的创办背景.从物理学发展、科学期刊出版、美国高等教育改革三个角度叙述了19世纪末期的时代特征.结合美国科学研究水平的进步和高等教育发展的进程,说明《物理评论》的创办是美国物理学发展的里程碑.
