对英语专业基础阶段词汇习得策略的探讨

摘    要:对英语专业的学生来说,词汇是顺利进行听、说、读、写、译等语言交流的基础。词汇学习始终贯穿整个英语学习的过程,而且大多数词汇主要是通过直接词汇习得之外的途径习得的。因此,在英语专业基础阶段对学生进行词汇习得策略的讲解是十分必要的。教师应教会学生如何自己处理遇到的生词,即如何采用不同的习得策略来掌握这些生词,从而对学生词汇量的增长起到事半功倍的效果。本试对词汇习得策略进行探讨,从而使学生的词汇习得更加科学、有效。

Abstract:To English majors,vocabulary is the foundation of fl uent communication,such as listening,speaking,reading,writing and translating.Le arners will always learn vocabulary during their English study and they acquire most vocabularies by way of indirect acquisition.Therefore,it is very necessary to teach English majors strategies of English vocabulary acquisition at their pr imary stage.Teachers should manage to teach students how to deal with new words that they meet,that is, how to apply different strategies to master the new word s,which are of great help to students' vocabulary accumulation.In this article,t he writer tries to discuss the learner strategies of English vocabulary acqu isit ion in the hope that students can acquire new words through scientific and effic ient approaches.
