| 摘 要： | 托马斯·哈代是19世纪末英国伟大的现实主义小说家，在他的一部“性格和环境小说”《德伯家的苔丝》中，他运用宿命主义和对比的手法揭示了女主人公苔丝的悲惨命运，揭露了资本主义毁灭农民的罪恶，抨击了资本主义的价值观念。

| Abstract: | Thomas Hardy is a great British novelist of realism in the end of the 19th century. In his novel of character and environment, Tess of the d＇ Urbervilles, he revealed the tragic fate of the heroine： Tess, and exposed the evil of capitalism to destroy the farmers and criticized the capitalism values by using fatalism and contrast. |
