| 摘 要： | “诚信”的本意是诚实无欺、信守诺言。儒家将“诚信”推崇为一种道德规范和自我修养的内容。认为“诚”是天赋予人的道理,人应“以诚为本”。效法天道真实无妄的品德,实现人的道德价值。认为“信”是立人立国之本,将其列为“五常”之一,要求人“言必信,行必果”。为此,“诚信”被奉为修身、立业、治国、用人、交友等的重要道德原则,成为中华民族的一种传统美德。在建设社会主义现代化,发展社会主义市场经济的今天,它仍然具有重要的意义,因而成为《公民道德建设实施纲要》的重要内容之一。

| Abstract: | Sincerity menas to be sincere and to keep one's promise. The Confucianist esteems it essential to moral criteria and self-cultivation. He holds that man was endowed by God with sincerity and that one takes "Sincerity" as the foundation for one's behavior and acquires human moral values by practicing the virtues of God's sincerity. He also holds that sincerity is the foundation for establishing oneself and governing a state and one of the Five Constant Virtues (i.e. benevolence, righteousness, propriety, knowledge and sincerity). It requires one to behave just as the saying goes, "Promise must be kept and action must be resolute." Therefore, sincerity is regarded as a moral code for cultivating one's moral character, starting one's career, governing a state, choosing the right person for the job and having the honour of one's friendship, thus being a traditional virtue of the Chinese people. In the four-modernization drive as well as in developing the socialist market economy, it is still of great significance, becoming one of the main constituents in improving civil morals. |
