| Abstract: | This paper attemps to probe into the comprehension process of polysemous words under the framwork of Sperber & Wilson’s relevance theory.It holds that the comprehension process of polysemous words follows the ostensive-inferential process,seeking for optimal relevance,while the cognitive context serves as its premise. |
