| 摘 要： | 以清末南通州的新型工商业与地方政府的矛盾为个案来观察,就可以知道辛亥革命的不可避免性。这两方面的势力分别由工商业家张謇和通州知州汪树堂为代表。汪树堂精熟中学之＂体＂,却茫然不知西学之＂用＂;起初尚能与张謇共办团练,但不久就开始抵制大机器工业,认为工厂有碍于地主缙绅与科举制度,一度阻碍了大生纱厂的开车。在厘卡与丝捐和兴办垦牧公司等决策上,汪树堂也总是站在阻碍先进生产方式的旧势力的一边。张謇和汪树堂之间的矛盾和冲突实际上不可调和,而且这类矛盾普遍存在于清末的中国各地并日益激化。最后,新兴力量先试图以立宪然终究以共和来代替帝制独裁,也就不可避免。

| Abstract: | Zhang Jian represented the new business force and Mayor Wang Shu-tang,the highest authority in Tongzhou on behalf of the Qing Dynasty.Wang Shu-tang knew little about Western learning for use although was mastery of Chinese political and legal system namely School for the Body.He was initially capable to set up militia in cooperation with Zhang Jian but later he began boycotting industrial plan made by the latter.Wang Shu-tang believed that the installment of the first spinnery with its sustaining system would hamper the landlord class and imperial examination system.A large textile mill was thence blocked by him to be switched on in time.He always stood at the side opposed and hindered the advanced mode of production in the decision-making on withdrawing outposts of the tax office,abating cocoon and silk taxes,setting up companies for sheep industry and farming,and etc.The contradictions and conflicts between Zhang Jian and Wang Shu-tang were irreconcilable and existed widely throughout China in the late Qing Dynasty and increasingly intensified.Finally,the emerging force first attempted to constitutional and then eventually to replace the dictatorship monarchy with republic,it is inevitable. |
