| Abstract: | The overlapping words in Lanzhou dialect can be divided into four categories including nouns,adjectives, adverbs and onomatopoeia. The number of noun and adjective overlapping words in Lanzhou dialect islarger than that in Mandarin, and overlapping words in Lanzhou dialect have different characteristics from those inMandarin. Through the comparison between Lanzhou dialect and Mandarin with large number of examples or facts,this paper analyzes overlapping words in Lanzhou dialect from the perspectives of functions, forms and meanings. |
