| Abstract: | The importance of university researchers from different disciplines working together with teacher educators and practitioners in schools has previously been emphasized. This paper outlines the collaborative procedures and outcomes associated with three physical activity and physical education interventions in schools. The three projects, supported by NHLBl funding, are long-term, multidisciplinary investigations (CATCH, M-SPAN, SPARK). The benefits of interdisciplinary collaboration far outweigh the perceived barriers. |
