| Abstract: | Intercultural communication competence has been of great importance in social communication between people from different cultural backgrounds.Fostering students’ intercultural competence inevitably falls into the foremost issue in language learning and teaching.The research conducted in intercultural communication indicates that cultural empathy is the critical element in enhancing EFL students’ intercultural communication competence. |
