| Abstract: | This article reviews the George Thomas Staunton＇s activities during the course of Britain Macartney Embassy to China in 1793, and analyzes the impacts of Macartney Embassy on Staunton＇s lives. The author endeavors to draw Chinese historians＇ attentions on the British Sinologist who ever influenced the development of Sino- Britain relations in the 19^th century. |
