| Abstract: | In the 18th Party Congress, the construction of ecological civilization was incorporated into the ＂five-in-one＂ general planning for socialism with Chinese characteristics and its status was advanced to a strategic level. Thus, the theory and practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics have been enriched and developed. The study elaborated the contribution of ecological civi lization to the socialism with Chinese characteristics from the aspects of its connotation, strategic significance and system construction. |
