| 摘 要： | 运用A．J．格雷马斯符号矩阵理论分析亨利·詹姆斯的成名作《黛西·米勒》的深层叙述结构，从新的视角解读这部作品的深层文化意义。从《黛西·米勒》中抽象出四个语义素，组成六对人物关系，形成作品的基本意义框架，并解析这六对人物间或对立或矛盾的二元关系。通过这种分析，作者又在格雷马斯符号矩阵理论的基础上构建出作品的深层叙述结构，以揭示表层叙述下蕴含的深层文化关系，即传统与自由的关联与矛盾。

| Abstract: | The novel Daisy Miller made Henry James known in the world. This paper analyzes its deep narrative structure, based on A. J. Greimas＂ semiotic rectangle theory, to show the deep cultural significance from a new perspective. The author extracts four semantic elements from Daisy Miller to form six pairs of character relationships. Through the analysis of their opposite or contradictory relations, the author finds out the deep narrative structure to reveal the deep cultural significance, that is, the relations of tradition and freedom. |
