| 摘 要： | 文章在英语中动结构研究成果的基础上，利用被广泛引用的语料进行量化分析，提出自己的假设：英语中动结构内部构件的形成机制上存在“动因竞争”，而这种竞争又是各构件不对称和标记性作用的结果。当然，外部动因尤其是信息焦点侧重的不同也是英语典型结构形成的重要因素。

| Abstract: | This paper is concerned with English middle construction. Built on the former research findings and the widely quoted middle construction samples, this paper makes the following hypothesis that it is ＂motivation competition＂ that triggers the formation of English middle construction and leads to the asymmetry and markedness of different constituents of this construction. In addition,the external motivation,in particular,the different information focuses also serve as factors affecting English typical middle construction. |
