| Abstract: | The paper made an analysis on the social condition for the Tiandi Society to borrow the name of the Temple of Shaolin and the historical reason of formation of the legend about Shaolin. Through reviewing concrete historical materials, the author revealed the fictitious feature of the legend about Shaolin and briefly explained the influence of the legend on the names of traditional Chinese boxing. |
