| 摘 要： | 上海、纽约都是国际化大都市，白玉兰、大苹果分别成为两个都市的象征物。上海、纽约都是移民城市、经济中心城市、文化中心城市，有着类似的文化特性：开放性、包容性、竞争性、创新性。20世纪下半叶上海发展的停滞、纽约发展的飞速，形成了这两个都市经济发展、城市建设的距离，也形成了文化的落差。从纽约中央公园与上海人民公园的比较中，见出都市文化空间建设的不同；从都市节庆文化的比较，发现两个都市文化之异；从文化体制、文化管理的比较，见出两个都市的差距。在都市文化比较中取长补短，可以推进上海文化的发展与繁荣。

| Abstract: | Shanghai and New York are both intenationalized metropolises, white magnolia and big apple being their respective symbols. Shanghai and New York are both cities of immigrants, both being economic centers and cultural centers. They have similar cultural characteristics: being culturally open, tolerant, competitive, and creative.
