| Abstract: | An explicit study on the relations between cognition, pragmatics, and grammaticalization, this paper contends that cognition serves as the departure point and means towards grammaticalization, while pragmatics enforces and enhances grammaticalization, and the results of both processes give forth to an imbalanced development of in items of grammaticalization. |
