| Abstract: | In the period from the foundation of the Republic of China to the year before the Anti Japanese War started, the returned students who had studied in the United States and come back to teach in Chinese universities inherited the thoughts of saving the nation by education and science, actively built new faculties, compiled new teaching materials and organized scientific and academic associations. They made great contributions to the dissemination and foundation of modern western natural science in China. |
