| Abstract: | Many researchers have discussed the reasons for the decline of Cao -yu' s playwriting after the foun-dation of PRC in different aspects.F rom the angle of subjective and objective relations,this thesis emphasizes the humanistic connotations of the characters in Cao -yu' s early and later plays.The contrast of their artistic values reveals the subjective and objective reason s for Cao -yu' s losing his'Precious Jade of Tongling'in his later playwriting. |
