| 摘 要： | 小说《飘》是美国女作家玛格丽特·米切尔的成名之作，同时也是世界文学史上一部辉煌的巨著。小说主要以美国内战及战后重建时期为背景，以郝思嘉、白瑞德曲折动人的爱情故事为主线，描绘了一幅壮阔而又生动的南方社会的生活画面。小说的成功之处就在于作者成功的刻画了数以十计的人物，他们性格鲜明，栩栩如生，给读者留下了深刻的印象，显示出作者卓越的艺术才能。以男主人公白瑞德的人物形象为分析重点，就他对美国社会旧有传统大无畏的反抗和出色的适应环境能力，以及他对爱的执着进行分析。

An Analysis of the Image--Rhett Butler in Gone with the Wind |

| Abstract: | Gone with the Wind is the masterpiece of the American writer, Margaret Mitchell, and it is also a brilliant masterpiece in the history of literature all over the world. Being set at the American civil war and the post-war reconstruction period, the novel takes the love story of Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Butler as the principal line, depicts a magnificent and vivid picture of the south. The success of the novel lies in that it portrays dozens of figures with distinctive character which greatly impresses the readers and shows the author’s outstanding artistic talent. The paper analyzes the image of Rhett Butler from the aspects of resisting the old traditions, his obsession with Scarlett O'Hara, and his excellent ability in different environments. |
