| 摘 要： | 《纽约客》对社会化生态的悲悯情怀，也是出国留学人精神的表现。白先勇通过创作，试图把人类心灵中的痛楚变成字，原因在于他对中国现代历史的不幸感，于是他关心整个中国人历史，并且赋予作品形象以“时光隧道”般的穿透力。可，白先勇小说也是书写中国化现象和人忧郁史的有机素材。

| Abstract: | New York Guest expresses a kind of spirit of the overseas students. This spirit is the so -called social -cultural ecological melancholy. In his work. Bai Xianyong makes an attempt to transform the anguish of the human soul into words. Possessing a strong sense of the misfortunes of the modern Chinese history, he shows an acute concern for the human history of China. It is this spiritual sense that gives his work and his characters a historical insight. Obviously, Bai Xianyong's novel is also an organic material for writing about Chinese cultural phenomena and the Chinese melancholy history. |
