| 摘 要： | 在中国近代图书馆事业发展的早期，商务人中有一个关注、介绍、引进、撰写有关近代图书馆理论的群体。在中国图书馆界“以日为师”的阶段中，这一群体对中国近代图书馆理论的发展作出了重要的贡献，其主要特征是：偶尔涉足，重点在外；掌握外语，引进理论；切身体会图书馆的重要；求生存为吸引新读者的需要。
