| 摘 要： | “科尔沁”是一个涵盖行政区域、地理、地貌的综合名词，原系鲜卑语，最早是蒙古部落的一项制度，逐渐演变为一支蒙古军队的名称，后来又成为科尔沁部落的泛称。作为地理名词，“科尔沁”的地域大致与今天的内蒙古东部的沙丘地带重合，地貌学上称这一沙丘地带为“科尔沁沙地”。“科尔沁草原”之称却并非以山川、河流、地形、地貌而得名，先是由兵种后由民族部落而演生为地理名称的。

| Abstract: | Horquin is a noun which covers the areas as territorial districts, geography and relief, orginating from the language spoken by Xianbeiers. It first referred to a system of Mongolia tribes, gradually evolving to a name of an armed Mongolia troop, and later on being used as the general term for Horquin tribes. As a geographical name, its terrain is equal to the sandbank territories now in the east of Inner Mongolia, which is called in relief as Horquin Sandlot. But Horquin Grassland is not from landscapes, rivers, landforms or relief, which was first used to refer to arms of services, and then to folk tribes. |
