| Abstract: | The present paper starts from an introduction of the three popular patterns of reading approaches with emphasis on the similarities and differences between the Guided Reading Approach and other methods. Through analysis, the paper brief the reader on the origin, features of the Guided Reading Approach and on procedures for applying the approach in teaching. The purpose of this paper is to provide English teachers with a theoretical basis for the teaching of English reading. |
