| 摘 要： | 目前，大学校长面临的工作是与高等教育发展相对应的系统性工作，即扩大招 生规模、内部体制改革、实施素质教育、适当引入市场竞争机制等。综括之，大学校长面临的是规模、结构、质量（特色）、效益问题，也是规模、结构、质量（特色）、效益的协调统一问题。规模、结构、质量（特色）、效益的协调统一是其在质量（特色）优先、兼顾效率的原则指导下，追求规模效益、结构效益和质量（特色）效益的协调统一，即大学的高质量（有特色）、快速度、可持续发展的协调统一。
