| 摘 要： | 高校外文系英语专业的《英美文学选读》和《英美文学史》两门课程的教学应相辅而行。只有将文学史的讲授与文学精品赏析结合起来，才能使学生从宏观上了解和把握英美文学的经纬，使他们更深入地理解和分析文学作品；再者．在教学实践中，这一方法更切实可行。
