广告英语中修辞手段的运用

摘    要:随着我国社会主义市场经济体制的确立和对外经济交往的迅速加深与扩大,尤其是加入WTO后,国际经济活动更加频繁,对外贸易更加活跃,出口广告已逐渐发展成为企业促进出口销售、开拓海外市场的一个主要手段;相应地,外国广告的大量涌入也使之成为我国企业和消费者获取商品经济信息的重要来源。如何恰如其分地运用和理解英语广告语言以实现广告的目的,已是摆在进出口商、广告人员及广大消费者面前的一个现实问题。一则成功的广告,往往是创作者独具匠心精雕细琢的产物,除了在词语、句型运用上的巧妙精细以外,也会经常使用修辞手法,从而产生新颖别致、形象生动、引人注目的效果。本文通过对一些英语广告例子的分析,主要探讨了广告英语的修辞特色,以其对理解、使用广告英语有所帮助。

Abstract:With the establishment of socialist market economy and the rapid expansion of economic exchanges,especially after Chinas entry into the WTO,international economic activities becoming more frequent and foreign trade more active.English advertisement has gradually become a major tool for enterprises to promote exportations and to develop overseas market,accordingly,the influx of foreign advertisement also makes itself a key source to access commodity economy information for the enterprises and consumers in China.How to properly understand and utilize English advertising language to realize the goal of advertising has become a practical challenge for importers,exporters,advertising staff and consumers.A successful advertisement,fine in the use of words,sentences,and rhetoric in order to be new,vivid and fascinating,is a unique and crafted product of creators.Through the examples of English advertisement,this paper mainly explores the rhetorical characteristics of advertising English with a view to help understand and use it very well.
