| 摘 要： | 西双版纳傣族普遍信仰南传上座部佛教，傣族男子接受佛寺教育成为傣族的一项重要传统。通过分析傣族佛寺教育为何能成为傣族社会的“传统”，认为主要有以下原因：佛教自身的改变、统治阶层的需要、个人选择的必要性以及相对稳定的社会结构等。
