Abstract: | We try to link climatic change signals of two high resolution Chinese loess sections to that of high latitude in Greenland ice cap.The tentative correlation between the particle size distribution in China loess and the content of Ca 2 in GISP2 Greenland ice core reveals that the atmosphere circulation may be strongly influenced by the forcing of ice sheet growing. The signals of climatic changes registered in the Chinese loess records imply that the climate and environmental oscillated frequently in the late Quaternary.A forcing structure behind the climatic instability behaviors may be exist at least within the North Hemisphere and evidently the irregular climatic changes are recorded in the Asian monsoon and desert system which connect the mid and high latitude. |
