| Abstract: | From discussing the meanings and characteristics of core competence, the paper draws out the concept of diversity. In pointing out the overuse of synthesis in research and the practice in current higher education, it elaborates the possibility and necessity of diversity. Some basic principles of diversity are discussed, and strategies for diversity are elaborated from the perspectives of the university itself, between universities, between the university and the government, and the university and the society. |
