Abstract:n the couise of setting up the expert system of slewing ring bearing(SRBES) in motor crane, the architecture of engineeruig desgn expert system,the problem-solving strategy and the fuzzy reasoning are studied. The layered dis -tributed knowledge base and fuzzy measurement are employed in knowleilge base.The medel of fuzzy reasoning is discussed in detail ,including the alsorithm of thecertainty factor of origical evidence, the updating and propagation of the certaintyfactor of conclusion and the fuzzy evaluation for the fuial problem solution. Theuse of the expert system SRBES shows that the fuzzy inference approaches areavailable and reliable.
