| 摘 要： | 本文解析了《无名的裘德》中女主人公淑性格的多种冲突。通过对淑内心矛盾的分析,反映了维多利亚时期传统制度对人性的桎梏,揭示了不合理的婚姻制度和社会道德是如何扼杀人们的自由意志和合理愿望的。淑作为维多利亚新时代女性,富有反叛思想,并将此思想诉诸行动,然而其潜意识的对社会陈规陋习的顺从最终导致了其反叛的失败。淑在反叛与顺从间的游走说明了在当时的社会条件下,追求精神解放的个体即使付出极其惨痛的代价,仍无法避免遭受失败的结果。

| Abstract: | This article analyzes the kind and gentle character of the heroine in Jude the Obscure in a variety of conflict. Through the analysis contradictions of gentle character, it reflects the shackles of the traditional system of human nature in Victorian and reveals the unreasonable marriage system and social ethics which kill off people＇s free will and reasonable desire. Women with kind and gentle character in Victoria age were imbued with rebellion thought, and put the thought into action, but the subconsciousness of their obeying to outmoded conventions and customs of society eventually led to the rebellion failed. Women＇s character of wandering between rebel and submission showed that under the condition of the society at that time, the pursuit of spiritual liberation of individual cost painfully and could not avoid suffering from the result of the failure. |
